2. Purpose of Processing

The Controller processes personal data for the purpose of registration and operation of the system portal.sdcz.sk, which enables users to register dogs for racing and coursing events in Slovakia. Data are processed also for communication, account management, and event registration administration.

3. Scope of Processed Data

The following personal data are collected and processed during user registration:

Username
First name
Last name
Email address
Password (securely encrypted)
Street and number
City
Postal code
Country
Phone number
Preferred website language

When registering a dog for an event, the User may provide additional data such as the dog’s pedigree number, breed, name, or date of birth. These data are processed exclusively for registration and administration of the dog’s participation in events. Such information does not directly identify the User unless combined with personal identifiers.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Processing of personal data is based on:

Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – processing is necessary for the performance of a contract (user registration and access to the system),
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR – user consent, in specific cases (e.g. optional data or communication preferences).

5. Data Retention

Personal data are stored for as long as the user maintains an active account, or up to 5 years after the last login to the system. After this period, the data are anonymized or securely deleted unless another legal reason requires their retention.

6. Data Recipients

Personal data may be disclosed only to authorized recipients such as:

event organizers within the Slovak racing and coursing community, for the purpose of processing dog registrations,
technical service providers ensuring system maintenance and hosting, bound by confidentiality obligations.

No personal data are transferred to third countries or international organizations.

7. User Rights

Every data subject (User) has the following rights under the GDPR:

Right to access their personal data,
Right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data,
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”),
Right to restrict processing,
Right to data portability,
Right to object to processing,
Right to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority.

8. Data Security

The Controller applies technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transmission (SSL), hashed password storage, access control, and regular security reviews to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or loss of data.

9. Cookies

The System uses cookies to ensure secure login sessions, store language preferences, and improve user experience. Users can manage or disable cookies in their browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of the System.
